The sun doesn’t need to be shining for the beach to be the perfect place to be. I’m feeling a little sentimental about another Summer coming to an end here soon. Still enjoying what’s left of it & not at all ready to let it go.
She learned to stand at 8 months old… she was talking at 9 months old… she was walking at 11 months old…. today she turned four and… … she’s learning to fly. Happy 4th birthday my Ava.

I think picture books can be an incredibly powerful story telling medium. When you find a book where the words and picture really work together, it’s magic. Pearl Barley and Charlie Parsley is one I adore, and Andrew Daddo’s Check on Me. I”ll have to review them on my blog!
